The easiest way to remove pet hair from furniture
Imagine guests coming over to your house, you show them to your comfy sofa and then start chatting over drinks and snacks. Suddenly, one of them starts sneezing uncontrollably and your entire party panics because he or she starts getting all red in the face and short of breath. You have to call an ambulance and the whole gathering is ruined because of one thing, pet fur!

In order for you to avoid the dramatic scenario above, you’ll of course need to do the tedious job of removing your beloved pet’s fur from the fluffy furniture, floors and clothing. It’s important to keep cleaning at regular intervals as the buildup of pet hair can encourage bacterial growth and cause negative skin reactions.

Try these simple tips to make your fur cleaning chores less labor intensive:

From Furniture

• Dampen a pair of rubber gloves and run both your hands over the soft upholstery of the furniture to pick up any loose fur. Once you have picked up enough hair, rinse your hands in clean water and then move them over the furniture again. If there aren’t any rubber gloves in your house, you can perform the method above with a damp sponge.
• Another way is to use one part water and one part fabric softener. Spray this mixture onto your furniture and wipe off with a dry cloth.
• If you have wooden furniture parts or leather furniture, use some anti-static dusting spray or furniture polish to make it easier for your cloth to pick up hair. Excess static electricity actually makes the cloth repellant to the fur and removing this static energy will make cleaning easier.

From Hard Floors

• When cleaning tiled or wood floors, use anti static mops made from microfiber materials. Never use a vacuum as this will blow the hairs away further.

From Carpets

• For stubborn hairs that refuse to untangle, run a vacuum cleaner through it multiple times to dislodge it. Then sweep up the hairs with a brush and pan.
• Run pumice stones through the surface of the entire carpet and you will find that all the fur gathers up very easily. Try this method instead of the traditional brush and pan.

From Clothes

• The best way to remove all those small tiny strands of hair from your clothing is by using a lint roller. Roll them over your clothing several times to remove the hair. When washing, use a softener so that there will be less static on your clothes, making hair removal faster.
• Keep a lint roller near your door so you can quickly clean up before heading out to work or a meeting .

From Pets Themselves

• Giving your pet a thorough brushing once a week will save you the hassle of having to clean every part of the house as they will shed less. For a more professional approach, send them to a professional groomer
