KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 27:
Hua Yang Bhd is confident of sustaining its sales momentum for the financial year ended March 31, 2015, via the launch of new projects with a gross development value of RM1.1 billion, said chief executive officer Ho Wen Yen.
As the company's main target is the younger population (87.1%), aged between 25 and 40, he said it would maintain its pricing for houses at below RM500,000.
Ho said property developers in the affordable housing market would be focusing on four key regions to launch their properties, namely the Klang Valley, Negeri Sembilan, Johor and Perak.
"With innovative packages planned for the future, Hua Yang intends to maintain focus on the affordable housing segment, in consolidating our position as one of the leading property brands in the market," he said after the company's annual meeting today.

Ho said said the company aims to develop its project on Penang mainland, namely in Bukit Mertajam and Juru.
"We are always looking for new markets to expand our business and currently we are in talks with a few land owners. We hope to announce some good news soon."
Besides Penang, the company is also eyeing Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, to start a new project.
Ho said compared to the price of land in Penang which keeps on increasing, the land in Sabah is slightly cheaper. However, it would take time to develop.
