Fire breaks out at Bukit Bintang shoplot

PETALING JAYA: A fire has broken out at a shoplot on Jalan Bukit Bintang.
Fire and Rescue Department personnel are currently at the scene to put out the flames on the third floor of the building.
"I arrived at about 8.50am and I saw the smoke. I parked my car and at about 8.55am, firefighters had already arrived," said eyewitness Esther Ewe, 29, when contacted on Wednesday.
She said that the fire appeared to be from a third floor unit of the shoplot.
Ewe added that based on the signboard, the unit appeared to belong to an IT company.
She said that the firemen are still in the midst of putting out the fire.
While she saw many people gathering and taking photos of the scene, Ewe said that she did not notice anyone in the burning building.
