Rapid Rail Allows Full-Sized Bikes On LRT On Two Sundays A Month
KUALA LUMPUR: Full-sized bicycles are now allowed on board the Rapid KL LRT on days when the KL Car-Free Morning is held.

Rapid Rail, the operator of Rapid KL’s LRT, monorail and MRT services, has come in to support the hugely popular programme by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) on the first and third Sunday of every month.

Rapid Rail CEO Datuk Zohari Sulaiman reminded cyclists to follow the rules and regulations on the Sundays that full-sized bicycles were allowed to be carried on LRT trains.

“The most important thing is for them to exercise caution and discretion while bringing in their bicycles.

“We need to ensure the safety and comfort of other commuters as well. If the trains are packed, please refrain from forcing the bikes into the trains.

“The cyclists also need to enter the trains from specific doors at each station. For the Kelana Jaya Line, they can only board the four-car trains and not the two-car trains,” he said during the roll-out of the Bike & Ride programme at Bandaraya LRT Station here yesterday.
