The state government, via the Melaka Housing Board (LPM), has partnered with housing developer Delta Diversified Sdn Bhd (DDSB) to develop RM4.22 million worth of affordable housing for Bumiputeras, reported Bernama.

“The project is part of the Melaka state government’s initiative to provide affordable housing for the people and construction is expected to begin within six months from now,” said Chief Minister Adly Zahari.

To be built on 0.33ha site in Taman Cheng Perdana in two years, the housing project will comprise 23 single-storey terrace homes. Of these, 19 intermediate terrace homes will be offered at RM180,000 each, while the four corner lot single-storey homes will go for RM200,000 each.

“Buyers are eligible for a five percent discount, and may apply to purchase the units at LPM’s office,” said Adly following the signing ceremony for the project.

Adly signed on behalf of the state government, while DDSB managing director Tee Kai Loon represented the housing developer.

The signing of the agreement was witnessed by LPM executive director Saleh Mohd Dom and State Secretary Datuk Hasim Hasan.
