BeCentral in Malaysia No. 1 Technology City records over 100 bookings in four weeks despite pandemic
BeCentral, I-Berhad's latest residential project at i-City Golden Triangle, Malaysia No. 1 Technology City, has garnered positive interest with 100 units already booked since its roll-out this month, says its group chairman Tan Sri Lim Kim Hong.
The RM280 million BeCentral Residence comprises 474 units with modern urban-style living and prices start from RM500,000.
This freehold project is located next to Central i-City mall, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, and Sumurwang Tower.
The main features at BeCentral include a five-star drop-off area, Artificial Intelligence facial recognition, 50m Olympic length infinity pool, hot jacuzi and rock climbing.
Lim remains confident of I-Berhad's prospects.
He said the group is set to complete DoubleTree by Hilton and Hill10 Residences in the second half of 2021.
The hotel is slated to welcome its guests in 2022, he said in a statement.
The next phase for the group includes building up i-City, an integrated lifestyle ultrapolis with an estimated gross development value of RM10 billion, and concluding more strategic partnerships to enhance Malaysia No. 1 Technology City.
I-Berhad had in the past several years developed successful partnerships with global brands like the Hilton Group (US), Central Group (Thailand), and Servcorp Group (Australia), as well as with leaders of the "new world" like Huawei, HIKVision, and SenseTime.
The group will continue to work towards strategic tie-ups and potential joint ventures with other globally-entrenched technology companies to deliver world-class offerings at i-City by harnessing new technologies such as 5G, Artificial Intelligence, and the Internet of Things.
Lim said given that I-Berhad has a strong balance sheet and coupled with continued business partnering, this will continue to provide the group financial flexibility to capitalise on growth opportunities and cutting edge technologies at i-City.
Powered by its 400G-capable network connectivity, i-City is a ready-made destination of choice for global technology companies looking to relocate to Malaysia for its world-class infrastructure and readily available pool of knowledge workers.
It is being developed into a high-rise integrated urban city with the adoption of advanced technologies and is currently transitioning into the Finance and Information Technology hub in the services industry.
Lim said this is a natural progression in the group's transformation.
He said the development direction of i-City as Malaysia No.1 Technology City and financial hub will further strengthen the group's position.
I-Berhad plans to add two more data centres accommodating 100,000 square feet each to meet the surging needs of cloud computing facilities, among other things at i-City.
When fully completed, i-City will be home to 25,000 residents and 30,000 knowledge workers.
About 5,000 residential units have been completed and handed over to buyers at i-City.
