Desaru Coast has a thriving real estate market for investors and vacation home buyers
The growing international profile and tourism focus of Johor's Desaru Coast have created a thriving property market for real estate investors and vacation home buyers.

Several accolades have bolstered its global reputation as a highly desirable destination.

Desaru Coast was recently named to Time magazine's list of the World's Greatest Places for 2021, making it the only Malaysian destination to make the prestigious annual list.

The once-sleepy coastal destination was lauded by Time as "an ambitious new resort area offering some of Malaysia's most coveted luxury bolt-holes," and for the variety and quality of its amenities.

Desaru Coast, set on an expansive sanctuary with a pristine beachfront, offers a variety of experiences ranging from world-class golfing at The Els Club's two championship courses to family fun at Adventure Waterpark – one of the world's largest waterparks.

The rich biodiversity of the area lends itself to a variety of natural activities, ranging from eco-tours at Belungkor Mangroves and encounters with endangered wildlife at Sedili Wetlands to sunset excursions at Kota Tinggi Firefly Park, which runs through a protected firefly habitat.

Anantara Desaru Coast Residences is selling a limited number of three- and four-bedroom private pool villas starting at RM7.5 million in Desaru Coast to be a part of this luxury.

The project, which officially launched in the third quarter of last year, consists of 20 seaside pool villas ranging in size from 3,100 to 6,426 square feet. The most expensive unit is selling for RM15.5 million.

Each villa has been designed to be a luxurious family-friendly haven, with spacious en-suite bedrooms, fully-furnished indoor-outdoor living areas, and a tranquil private infinity pool as the focal point.

The developers of the branded residences are Themed Attractions Resorts & Hotels (TAR&H), a subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, and Minor International, one of the largest hospitality, restaurant, and lifestyle groups in the Asia Pacific.

Anantara is a global brand owned by Minor International. This is the first Anantara resort and branded residence in Malaysia. It is also the group's flagship real estate project in Malaysia.

The villas will be managed and serviced year-round by the adjacent five-star Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas (operational since December 2019).

As a branded residential development, Anantara Desaru Coast Residences' resort-managed rental programme is suited for those looking to earn returns from their real estate investment.
