EASTERN & Oriental Bhd (E&O) is bringing Penang to the world stage with the new Seri Tanjung Pinang (STP) Phase 2 development, known as the Andaman.

The 307.5ha urban island is located along the foreshores of Gurney Drive and Tanjung Tokong, consisting of mixed residential, commercial, retail, health and wellness as well as education offerings.

Anchored on four principles, namely a carefully curated masterplan, seamless connectivity, sustainability and a balanced lifestyle, Andaman is envisioned to become a global prime address.

The new development aims to create an all-encompassing living environment that stays true to Penang’s heritage, at the same time providing a high-quality public realm and accessible waterfront, while nurturing a series of neighbourhoods within an integrated mixed-use community.

STP was fully completed in 2005. The development is a reclamation project of 97ha of seafront land at the upper-class residential suburb of Tanjung Tokong and located between George Town and Batu Ferringhi.

The mixed development comprises seafront villas, contemporary terraces, semi-detached homes, luxury condominiums and executive apartments.

STP is also located near the hotspot of Straits Quay and features restaurants, cafes, bars, antique shops, art galleries and retail options.

The development was designed by Wimberley Allison Tong and Goo, an architect, landscape designer and lifestyle consultant based in Seattle, Washington.

The first phase of the development grew into 3,000 homes purchased by buyers from over 30 countries in 15 years of the development enabling E&O to command benchmark prices, delivered impressive returns to investors and created a brand cache in Penang.

STP has been recognised by industry awards and accolades including the top 10 property developers for the People’s Choice Award by IProperty Development Excellence Awards.
