Plenitude opens Gurney Walk, a new social hub on Gurney Drive
Plenitude Bhd's three-story Gurney Walk, which is located along Penang's iconic Gurney Drive, has opened on March 1, 2022.
The 37-story Ascott Gurney Penang, which is likewise owned by the Penang developer, is directly connected to Gurney Walk.
There are 271 studios, one- and two-bedroom flats, and one- and two-bedroom apartments at Ascott Gurney Penang, which is managed by The Ascott Ltd, Singapore's CapitaLand Investment Ltd's lodging division.
Gurney Drive is a bustling thoroughfare lined with hotels, condominiums, and business buildings, as well as street food and hawker centres. The location serves as a rest break between Penang International Airport and Batu Ferringhi Beach.
Plenitude believes that Gurney Walk and Ascott Gurney Penang would work well together to create a vibrant social and cultural destination for clients.
Gurney Walk, according to the developer, has attracted a diverse range of tenants, with the ground level fully occupied. International brands like The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Subway, as well as local favourites like Yin Sourdough, Four Spoons, Cueva, and Urban Republic, are among them.
Gurney Walk will dedicate an entire level to health, anchored by the 3,500-square-foot Areoma Boutique Spa.
Other fitness facilities, food and beverage establishments, hair and nail salons, local handcrafted items, and a flurry of pop-up merchants are all set to open in the near future.
With various cross-promotional events in the works, Gurney Walk anticipates synergistic crossovers from hotel guests.
A showcase of art exhibitions and lectures, as well as other scheduled activities and community-centric events, will add to its unique character.
Gurney Walk has set modest rental rates in order to attract more tenants who will benefit from the developer's 20 years of experience and expertise.
Plenitude has a varied portfolio of property development and hospitality-related business endeavours both locally and internationally, as well as a proven track record. The Marin in Penang, townships in Kedah and Johor, and ten hospitality properties in Malaysia, Seoul, and Osaka are among them.
