Noora @ Desa ParkCity will debut in the next quarter
ParkCity Group's development arm, Perdana ParkCity Sdn Bhd, will launch a new project at its Desa ParkCity Kuala Lumpur township this year.
According to its group chief executive officer Datuk Joseph Lau, the project, known as Noora @ Desa ParkCity, is scheduled to debut in the third quarter.
The 473-acre Desa ParkCity noted for its serene, green, and sustainable living environment is one of the nation's fastest-growing and most popular master-planned communities.
The various developments within Desa ParkCity are intended to establish a feeling of place that grounds contemporary living in the natural world.
Lau said that the group's 551-acre Marina ParkCity in Miri, Sarawak, and the 190-acre ParkCity Hanoi in Vietnam both contain the same DNA.
Desa ParkCity was chosen as one of the 13 regional winners of the prestigious 2022 Urban Land Institute Asia Pacific Awards (ULI APAC Awards) for Excellence held on June 21, 2022.
Lau said this milestone achievement marks the township as the first Malaysian entry to be shortlisted and awarded from the ULI APAC Awards for Excellence programme, widely recognised across the Asia Pacific as one of the region's most prestigious awards in the development community.
He said that receiving this most recent honour would help ParkCity's reputation grow on a global scale.
"ParkCity will not rest on its laurels. We will continue to innovate, pushing the boundaries through improved infrastructural approaches and operations, to better serve the community and deliver quality projects that we are renowned for," he said.
Lau said that this year's winners (the ULI APAC Awards) were selected from a competitive pool of 64 submissions by a professional jury of leading experts, where they were evaluated based on their superior development efforts in the private, public, and non-profit sectors.
"It is an honour and privilege for our entire organisation to have been the first Malaysian property development selected to win this award. This is a recognition of all the effort, aspiration, and vision put in by everyone in our company, together with all the support received from everyone involved. The win is also a benchmark for ParkCity's innovative developments and its excellence in creating spaces for life, alongside various holistic aspects of sustainability, safety, health and wellbeing, and the environment," Lau said.
Lau said ParkCity consistently works to improve the quality of life of its citizens through meaningful advancements with aspects of liveability, connectedness, and safety.
The community is already gaining from the ESG strategy as the township is completely walkable, safe, and social, he said.
Desa ParkCity is currently well-known as the most liveable community in Kuala Lumpur.
