Offering a range of products in many states and areas has proven advantageous, says Plenitude
Plenitude Berhad plans to rely on its robust portfolio of products that it offers in numerous states and locations where the demand for real estate has remained steady for its planned releases.
This has been a strategic move that benefitted the property development division, says Elsie Chua, the company's non-independent non-executive chairman.
"We hope to bank on this competitive advantage to reap success for the new phases in Taman Desa Tebrau (Cello 3B and Harp 2C), the new township of Impian Hills, Ulu Tiram, and the single-storey bungalows in the new mixed development township of Bukit Bintang in Sungai Petani, in the fiscal year 2023 (FY2023)," she said.
Plenitude reported revenue of RM272.7 million for FY2022 (RM208.5 million:FY2021) and a pre-tax profit of RM42.3 million, up 43 per cent from a pre-tax profit of RM29.5 million in the prior fisca year.
A total of RM220.6 million, or 81 per cent of the company's revenue, came from the property development business.
For FY2022, the divisions' sales increased to RM214.1 million, of which landed homes made up 92 per cent.
Phases 19 and 20 - Clarinet and Harp in Taman Desa Tebrau, Johor Bahru; Phase 4E - Topaz in Taman Putra Prima, Puchong; and Bintang Maya 2 in Sungai Petani, Kedah accounted for the sales recorded in FY2022.
The sales were also aided by ongoing construction projects including Phase 5 - Diamond in Taman Putra Prima, Puchong; Bintang Maya 3 in Sungai Petani; and the recently opened Phases 19 and 20 (3D) - Cello in Taman Desa Tebrau.
According to Chua, Plenitude's long-term strategy of strengthening the business now sees the company holding a landbank of about 1,192 acres which is expected to grow.
The company has started the "Home Sweet Home by Plenitude" campaign to make home-ownership more accessible to increase property sales.
Six projects in Penang, Kedah, Johor, and the Klang Valley are taking part in the campaign, and homebuyers will receive special benefits like discounts, free legal expenses, and free stamp.
