A strong uptake for Noöra at Desa ParkCity
Noöra, the first integrated development by ParkCity Group at Desa ParkCity in Kuala Lumpur, saw 73 per cent of the residential units reserved at its priority sales event over the weekend.
The project with a Scandinavian motif experienced overnight lines as potential purchasers arrived as early as 4pm on the day before the event was hosted for those who had previously expressed an interest.
Noöra is located on a 6.63-acre freehold plot on the southern fringes of Desa ParkCity.
The project, with a planned gross development value of RM1 billion, consists of 1,156 residential units spread across two 52-story towers and a 50,000-square-foot retail platform.
The residential apartments, which cater to young millennial families and single people, range in size from 520 square feet to 1,282 square feet and are priced between RM900 and RM1,000 per square foot.
Regarding the Noöra Walk retail area, it will be entirely managed by ParkCity to best offer a tailored retail experience with amenities including co-working spaces, fitness centres, food and beverage establishments, supermarkets, and other lifestyle propositions and services.
The name Noöra, which translates to "light" in the Scandinavian language, is a reflection of the project's light-filled interiors that are intended to accommodate post-pandemic living requirements, according to ParkCity Group chief executive officer Datuk Joseph Lau.
"Following the Covid pandemic experience, most of us have realised what matters in life is not about material trappings and the single-minded accumulation of wealth. Our priorities have shifted, and we are now more appreciative of simple yet rewarding living," said ParkCity Group chief executive officer Datuk Joseph Lau.
Besides simplicity, the project's design also emphasises sustainability and integration with nature.
Noöra's communal spaces adopt the Fourth Place spatial concept where these spaces act as extensions of the homes, allowing for both personal and social activities.
"We always listen to our customer's needs and wants. Each project in Desa ParkCity is unique. Being a part of this development means being part of a community that values wholesome community living," said Lau.
Desa ParkCity is a 473-acre self-sustaining master-planned township. It boasts award-winning projects and facilities which include retail entertainment centres The Waterfront and Plaza Arkadia as well as the popular pet-friendly Central Park.
The township also features an international school and a medical centre.
