KUALA LUMPUR: Tropicana Metropark has launched SouthPlace 2 Shoppes & Residences (SouthPlace 2) in Subang Jaya, bringing further life to the region.

SouthPlace 2 comprises 553 serviced apartments and 74 commercial retail sites, catering to urban living with parkfront views and ideal connections.

SouthPlace Shoppes, with Mercato as the anchor tenant, has seen a 90 per cent take-up rate, according to Ixora Ang, Tropicana's executive director of marketing and sales.

The success of SouthPlace Shoppes demonstrates market confidence in this integrated masterplan, which includes a growing middle-upper community, a completed 9.2-acre urban park, Sri KDU International School, and a strategic location with a direct link to the Federal Highway.

This 88-acre Tropicana Metropark is a signature development that provides prime connectivity to the Federal Highway via the Tropicana Metropark Link, as well as proximity to Sunway Medical and Subang Jaya Medical Centre, Glenmarie Golf & Country Club, Saujana Golf & Country Club, and Kelab Golf Negara Subang.

SouthPlace 2 Residences offers partially furnished units ranging in size from 583 to 1,129 square feet, with prices starting at RM506,000.

According to Ang, the apartments are suitable for first-time buyers, couples, and families.

The units provide adaptable, spacious layouts for living, dining, and kitchen areas, allowing for a variety of living and working situations.

The first two levels of the 4.4-acre, 38-story integrated development house 74 retail lots with an average price of RM1.58 million.

The SouthPlace 2 Shoppes retail hub has built-up areas ranging from 562 square feet to 3,266 square feet, making it ideal for businesses looking to serve the immediate catchment of Tropicana Metropark's planned 26,000 residents and the surrounding catchment population of 1.2 million.

Ang said that SouthPlace 2 builds on the success of completed residential offers such as Pandora, Paloma, and Paisley while building on the retail options of SouthPlace Shoppes with an al fresco commercial design fronting Tropicana Metropark's urban park.

The urban park has a canal inspired by Melbourne's Yarra River as well as 2.8km of jogging, walking, and cycling routes that promote active lifestyles and social participation.
