Selangor Dredging aims to attract a new demographic of homebuyers
KUALA LUMPUR; Boutique property developer Selangor Dredging Berhad (SDB) aims to replicate its successful formula in upcoming projects to attract a new demographic of homebuyers.

Group managing director Teh Lip Kim said that by integrating modern design with sustainable living elements, the company seeks to engage a broader audience looking for not just a home, but a lifestyle that aligns with their values.

She emphasised that the strategic locations of SDB's past and current developments provide homeowners with access to a wide range of facilities and amenities, resulting in high potential yields for investors and an exceptional living experience for residents.

"SDB continues to thrive in a dynamic property market. Our commitment to innovation allows us to respond effectively to changing economic conditions and the evolving preferences of our valued homebuyers.

"We are dedicated to creating not just homes, but living spaces that truly resonate with the lifestyles and aspirations of every resident," Teh said after the company's annual general meeting held recently.

SDB currently holds total unbilled sales of RM348.86 million.

For the year ending March 31, 2024 (FY 2024), the company reported a pre-tax profit of RM28.69 million on a turnover of RM227.46 million. After accounting for taxation, the net profit was RM24.72 million.

This positive momentum continued into the first quarter ending June 30, 2024, with the company achieving a net profit of RM8 million on a turnover of RM97.60 million.

"What sets our projects apart from other developers is our unwavering 'brand promise' to consistently deliver top-quality premium offerings, encompassing both high-rise and landed developments," Teh said

SDB is set to launch a new development in the Klang Valley in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The upcoming project in Taman Putra Perdana, Puchong, represents a significant advancement in addressing the growing demand for quality living spaces, with a focus on sustainability and innovative design.

Teh highlighted the company's current developments—19Trees at Taman Melawati, Kuala Lumpur, and Jia at Taman Bukit Serdang, Selangor—as exemplary examples of SDB's ongoing commitment to quality and innovation.

According to her, 100 per cent of Jia's units have been sold, while 93 per cent of the units at 19Trees have also been sold.
