Ringgit opens higher against US dollar
The ringgit opened higher against the US dollar this morning on continued buying momentum for the local currency, dealers said.

At 9.01 am, the ringgit traded at 4.1930/2000 to the US dollar from 4.2160/2230 yesterday.

It also traded higher against other major currencies.

It improved against the Singapore dollar to 2.9956/3.0015 from Thursday’s 3.0022/0078 and rose against the yen to 3.7070/7142 from 3.7613/7678.

The local unit appreciated against the euro to 4.6295/6389 from 4.6448/6542, and against the British pound improved to 5.8589/8699 from 5.8742/8848.
