Challenge 1: Being thick-skinned
Being a property agent requires one to be insensitive to criticism or insults. If one has difficulties in communicating with strangers, giving out flyers to the public, meeting new clients, one should reconsider if being property agent is a suitable career.
Challenge 2: It’s a tough life
It is common for property agents to have little time of their own because their working time is controlled by their clients. As the competition increases among property agents, they strive to outperform one another in the sale process. The sale process includes viewing and choosing of the right property with client, agreements, payments, handling loans and property rights and delivering it to the client.
Challenge 3: It’s going to be stressful
Every property agent is bound to feel stressful, especially when one is unable to secure any clients. During these difficult times, having a good attitude is crucial.
Challenge 4: Be professional
A good property agent has to be highly knowledgeable and professional. Having deep knowledge in what one does help to increases efficiency and accuracy in work.
Challenge 5: Temptation
A property agent will always face temptation because one deals with money all the time. Some property agents damage the image of the industry and themselves when they are overly greedy to gain profits. Therefore, each property agent should act professionally and with integrity.
