Phase 1 of IJM Land's Rimbun Kiara sold; Phase 2 to launch soon
IJM Land Bhd launched Phase 1 of its latest housing development project, Rimbun Kiara on April 17 and saw full take-up in less than 24 hours, says its senior general manager Datuk Hoo Kim See.

Hoo said Phase 1 achieved 100 percent of its sales target within a day of the launch, fuelled by interest from homebuyers and investors who wish to have a modern and practical home, yet affordable.

Rimbun Kiara sits on a 21.46-acre parcel of land next to Seremban 2, Negeri Sembilan, and has a gross development value of RM145.9 million.

It offers a total of 255 units of two-storey linked homes, and the pricing starts from RM498,000.

Phase 1 has 110 units, while Phase 2 with 145 units is now open for registration and will be launched soon.

According to Hoo, there is already strong buying interest for Phase 2.

Hoo said the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic along with the Movement Control Order (MCO) and Conditional MCO restrictions have changed the lifestyle of the majority of Malaysians.

He said apart from a home being an escape from routine and urban bustling, it is now considered a safe retreat from the pandemic and has also become the only quarters during the MCO and CMCO period where employees are forced to work at home, and kids to attend online classes.

"As such we know that space will become essential for the current generation of homebuyers who are looking for that space flexibility to include work privacy and personal space at the same time. We believe that the take-up rate will be quick," he said.

Hoo said Rimbun Kiara is an idyllic home development for families looking to wind down from their hectic lifestyles while permitting a work-life balance at their own comfort.

"At IJM Land, we are constantly pushing ourselves to provide the best living conditions based on the circumstances and demand of our people. Seremban may not be famed for its tourist sites, however, after being accorded the city status, the township has seen a spike in population as more homebuyers opt to move to this developed township that allows them to acquire affordable landed properties.

"We are confident that Seremban has a huge potential that we at IJM Land need to tap into, by constantly strengthening and innovating new developments to open up vast opportunities not just for investors and homebuyers, but to sustain and contribute to Malaysia's economic growth," Hoo said.
