5,553 PR1MA Houses To Be Built In Perlis

A total of 5,553 units of 1Malaysia People's Housing (PR1MA) will be built under the 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP) in Perlis starting this year.
State Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Mat Hassan (BN-Kuala Perlis) said the housing units would be built in Kangar, Arau and Padang Besar areas.
A total of 11,160 people have applied for the housing units, he said when replying to a question from Chan Ming Kai (PKR-Indera Kayangan) at the state legislative assembly sitting, here, Wednesday.
Mat said the state government had also applied for the construction of two People's Housing Programme (PPR) projects in Chuping and Padang Besar with a total of 1,000 housing units.
He said the application did not include the construction of the 400 PPR units in Arau which had been approved by the Housing and Local Government Ministry.
The state legislative assembly sitting then approved the First Supplementary Supply Bill (2015) 2016 after being tabled by Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Azlan Man.
