Police raid finds bombs in Damansara Perdana condo
The police conducted a dawn raid at a condominium in Damansara Perdana and found five home-made bombs in a unit, making over 200 residents to rush out of the block.

Two Malaysians fled the unit on the 17th floor upon realising the presence of the police in the 4.30am raid that came in the wake of much surveillance, said Petaling Jaya Police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din.

"Police combed the condominium unit and found the bombs, electric circuit materials and substances used to make bombs.

"We also found a black box containing a quantity of drugs, mainly syabu and ecstasy pills," he told reporters at the scene.

Mohd Zani said a police bomb disposal unit removed the bombs to an open area nearby and detonated them.

A resident who wished to be identified only as Roslan said his family was shocked when a neighbour informed him that their block had been cordoned of by the police and Fire and Rescue personnel.

He said all the residents evacuated the building as instructed.

"Fearing for our safety, we rushed down to the ground floor," he told reporters.
